Julio Rojas

Julio Rojas, author, screenwriter and writer, is one of Chile’s most awarded screenwriters. He has worked as a creator, screenwriter, story editor and consultant on numerous TV series, feature films and audio series for platforms such as Amazon, Apple, Spotify and others. Julio Rojas has written more than a dozen feature films (including “La Vida de los Peces”, Goya Award for Best Foreign Film) and has worked on series such as “El Refugio” (Starz) and “Familia de Medianoche” (Apple TV+). His screenplay “La Vida de los Peces” won the Goya Award for Best Ibero-American Film in 2012. His feature film scripts include “Sábado”, “Mi Mejor Enemigo”, “En la Cama” and “La Memoria del Agua”, all of which have won numerous international awards.

As a writer, his historical crime novel “El Visitante Extranjero” (PENGUIN RANDOM HOUSE) has been published in Spain and Chile (currently being adapted into the VIX Movistar series “El Dentista”); the dystopian thriller “El Fin del Metaverso” (PENGUIN RANDOM HOUSE); the youth dystopian novel “FREELAND” (PLANETA); and the prequel thriller “RETORNADOS” (HACHETTE MEXICO). He has also written the horror audio series “Creepyhunters” and “Quemar Tu Casa” (SPOTIFY-FABULA), the thriller “Cisne Rojo” (AMAZON MUSIC) and the science fiction trilogy “Borrado”, “Turing” and “Confluencia” for EMISOR STUDIOS. He has also written the Spanish audio series about Mars, “Retornados” (ONDA CERO-SONORA) and the Caso 63 spin-off “ENIGMA” (SPOTIFY-EMISOR PODCAST). Other works include “FOOM” (EMISOR STUDIOS) about the dangers of AI, the suspense and anticipation audio series “SIMULACRO” (EL EXTRAORDINARIO) and “SELECCIÓN NATURAL” (SPOTIFY-EMISOR STUDIOS), an innovative audio fiction about artificial intelligence.

Julio Rojas is the author of the acclaimed science fiction audio series “CASO 63” (SPOTIFY-EMISOR PODCAST), winner of the 2022 Ondas Award for Best Podcast, adapted in India, Brazil and the United States. Recognised by the New York Times as one of the best audiobooks of 2020 and winner of the 2022 Ondas Award for Best Fiction Podcast. The English version of CASE 63 (GIMLET MEDIA, JULIANNE MOORE, OSCAR ISAAC) has been acclaimed by the critics, remaining at number 1 in the global rankings and becoming one of the most listened-to podcasts of recent times.

 

Nestor Hernandez

Néstor Hernández is Sony Pictures’ Head of Content for Latin America and US Hispanic until 2023. With a 23-year career in the industry, he previously served as Content and Production Manager for HBO Latin America and later as Director of Content for Mediapro USA.

During his 23-year career, he has created, written and produced series, films and documentaries of great international scope, such as the Emmy winner for Best Drama Series “Señor Avila” (HBO), the Emmy nominee for Best International Series in 2020 “The Bronze Garden” (HBO) or the winners of the NYC Telly Awards; “Mil Colmillos” (HBO) and “Guerras Ajenas”. He is also responsible for several critically and commercially acclaimed projects such as “La Reina Del Flow” 2 (Netflix), “De Brutas Nada” (Amazon) or “Entre Hombres” (HBO).

In 2023, Néstor Hernández (CEO) launched the creative and business project “We The Pixels”, a creative boutique and audiovisual production company with a presence in Miami, Mexico, Santiago de Chile and Madrid. In just one year, several projects have been launched, including the Spanish-Mexican co-production “Freeland”, directed by Katina Medina (Emily in Paris), and the series “12”, which will soon be announced by one of the most important media groups in the United States.

Virginia Yagüe

Virginia Yagüe has an extensive professional career as a creator and scriptwriter of Spanish television series such as “La Señora”, “14 de Abril: La República”, “Amar en Tiempos Revueltos” (Golden TP Award for Best TV Series 2012, Ondas Award 2008 and Silver Medal for Best Drama Series at the New York Festival 2007), the TV movie “Prim, el asesinato de la Calle del Turco” (Silver Globe at the World Media Festival in Hamburg and Gold Medal for Best TV Movie at the NY International Film Festival 2015) and “Amar es Para Siempre” (Alma Awards for Best Daily Series 2019, 2022 and 2024). Her most recent work as a scriptwriter includes the miniseries “Invisible” for Diney+ and her participation in the series “Operación Barrio Inglés” and “Abogadas” for TVE.
In cinema, he won the Golden Biznaga at the 2012 Malaga Festival for the screenplay of the feature film “Els Nens Salvatges”, his third film after “Para que no me olvides” and his participation in the group films “En el mundo, a cada rato”, “Ellas son África” and “El tren de la libertad”. He is currently shooting the script for his latest feature film, “Nosotros”.

She is the current president of DAMA (Entidad de Gestión de Derechos de Medios Audiovisuales) and a member of the board of the Spanish Film Academy, specifically in the screenwriting section. She is a member of the Board of Patrons of the SAA (Society of Audiovisual Authors).

She combines her professional work with teaching master classes as an expert in narrative and screenwriting techniques in various film schools, universities and screenwriting laboratories, and has published several novels, including “El Marqués” (Temas de hoy) and “La última princesa del pacífico” (Planeta).
